This course equips you with practical tools to handle emergencies and optimize outcomes. Who is This Course For? Aesthetic practitioners offering injectable treatments (e.g., dermal fillers, botulinum toxin). Medical professionals such as doctors, nurses, and dentists practicing aesthetics. What You’ll Learn Common complications in aesthetic treatments, including bruising, swelling, and vascular occlusions. Rare but serious complications, such as blindness and anaphylaxis. Pre-treatment client assessments and identifying contraindications. Safe injection techniques to minimize risks. Steps to take in the event of an adverse reaction or complication. When to refer to medical professionals or specialists. Practical Skills Identifying and Managing Specific Complications: Vascular occlusion: Recognizing early signs and treating with hyaluronidase. Botulinum toxin complications: Addressing asymmetry, drooping, or overcorrection. Allergic reactions: Managing mild to severe responses, including the use of adrenaline. Managing infections and delayed onset nodules. Hyaluronidase Training: Safe preparation and administration to dissolve misplaced or excessive filler Calculating dosages and ensuring effective treatment Client Communication: Discussing potential complications with clients during consultations. Reassuring and guiding clients during and after a complication. Course Structure Pre-Study 6-8 hours of home study: Covering the fundamentals of complication management, anatomy, and emergency protocols. Onsite Training (1 Day Practical) Hands-On Practice: Live demonstrations by expert trainers showcasing complication management techniques. Supervised practice on simulated models for vascular occlusion and hyaluronidase administration. Role-playing client communication during adverse events. Assessment: Written and practical evaluations to confirm readiness and competency. Certification Upon successful completion, participants will receive a CPD-accredited certificate, qualifying them to manage complications in aesthetic treatments professionally. Cancellation and No-Show Policy At HelinaLux, we value your time and ours. To ensure smooth scheduling for all our clients, we have implemented the following payment policies regarding cancellations and no-shows: Cancellation Policy: Treatments must be cancelled at Least 24 Hours before the Appointment. Academy Courses must be cancelled at most 24 Hours after booking a course. Cancellations made after this period will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the Treatment/course price. No-Show Policy: If you do not show up for your appointment/Course without prior notice, a no show fee of 50% of the Treatment/Course Price will be charged. Prepaid Appointments: Prepaid sessions will be forfeited in case of late cancellations or no-shows unless rescheduled within the notice period.
